The Bridge Money Advice Centre is a free-of-charge, friendly, caring and professional debt advice service, based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, serving Huntingdon, Godmanchester, Fenstanton, Somersham and St Ives. We opened our doors to the public in January 2005 and have seen a large number of clients since. Our service is impartial and comes from a compassion for those whose lives are being troubled by debt. We help those in financial difficulties by putting together debt management plans, which include a budget for the client to live on and a repayment proposal to give to creditors. Our budgets are flexible enough to mean that clients can realistically live according to them, and our repayment proposals to creditors allow debts to be repaid fairly.We have received excellent local press coverage and have built relationships with MPs, council officials and other many other local professional services. Most importantly we are seeing people’s lives changed as a result of using the centre – we are providing hope to the most desperate of situations and a bridge out of debt and the anxiety that goes with it. We are constantly taking new clients and fielding telephone enquiries. We aim to make a real, tangible difference in St Ives, Huntingdon, Godmanchester and the surrounding areas.
Help us build bridges out of debtHow you can join in… We are looking for your generosity to help us expand the centre. Specifically, we are looking for generous people to donate money on a monthly basis to The Bridge Money Advice Centre. The Centre is continuing to seek funding from sources such as businesses, trust funds and government organisations, but these sources are often inconsistent and unsuitable for providing long-term assistance. Your donation will help build a bridge out of debt for many more people in St Ives, Huntingdon, Godmanchester and the surrounding area.
