19th May 2019. Becky Richards - Romans 14 - 15:13. Some things are Non-negotiable. Take Romans 3:24 and John 14:6 for example. However, how much more should we love those who disagree with us on some of those disputable matters? How do such things bring Glory to God?

Romans 14-15:13

Some things are non-negotiable. Take Romans 3:24 and John 14:6

How much more should we love those who disagree with us on disputable matters? How will conflict glorify God? Becky brings four points:

  1. Because God has accepted them
  2. Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives
  3. They are our brothers and sisters

One day, we will all stand before God's judgement seat.

Respond to disputable matters in love...

  1. Do not be a stumbling block
  2. build eachother up

Then we will bring glory to God!

Small Group Questions:

  1. ‘What is your attitude like towards those within this church family/wider church who disagree with you on disputable matters?
  2. In what ways can you love, respect and encourage those within the church who hold different opinions to you, rather than judge them?
  3. When the church is united, Jesus is glorified. Spend some time praying for each other that you would be united as a group and that this would flow out into the wider church family.
