What is it?
An introductory course to the Christian faith.
Who can come?
Anyone between the ages of 11-18.
The course will particularly benefit those ‘new to’ or ‘interested in’ the Christian faith.
Please feel free to invite any of your friends from school or college. We always have fun at XTN, and your friends will find the Alpha course enjoyable, interesting and relevant for their lives. You do not need to be attending The Bridge Church, or the XTN Youth Group to come along.
If you are already part of the XTN Youth Group at The Bridge Church you will need to speak to your leader, either Rebecca or Becky, about whether you will benefit from being part of the Alpha group.
Does it cost anything?
No. Not a penny. Zilch. Nothing.
There is a course manual which we will provide for free, and we can give you a free Bible too if you need one.
If I come to one am I expected to attend them all?
No. Come to as many or as few as you’d like. As with most things in life though, the more you put in the more you will get out. If you miss a couple of sessions, don’t worry, come along to the next session and we’ll fill in the gaps for you. If you have a friend that can only start coming along on say 1st April, or even just wants to attend one session as a one-off on say 27th May, that is fine too.
Where are the Youth Alpha sessions and what are they about?
This will be part of our XTN Youth Group for 11-18 year olds on Friday nights @ The Bridge Church office, 2 Burrel Road, St. Ives, Cambs. PE27 3LE.
The XTN programme will still meet from 7-9pm, but when we normally split into two groups (11-14) and (15+) for the teaching section at 7.45-8.30pm, there will be a third group for Alpha. So if you want to attend Youth Alpha, there will be plenty of time to hang out with the rest of the Youth before and after each session.
The start date of the next youth Alpha will be announced soon:
