Children@The Bridge Church.
We are currently undergoing some building work, preparing an amazing area for our Children’s Church so for now children of all ages join with young people and adults to worship God in the main auditorium until about 11.00am when they go to their age specific groups. We can’t wait until the building work is finished and we can re-launch Children’s Church…
Children’s Church is a fun, exciting and a safe place where children can learn about God in a meeting especially designed for them. Everyone is welcome: from babes-in-arms (with a parent or carer) to children in Year 6; from crazy, energetic boys to our special non-verbal, non-mobile friends. The mornings are jam-packed with activities in a contemporary “magazine” style, relevant to the culture in which our children are growing up.
Each Sunday starts with a big smile from members of our registration team. Inside there are prayer stations: lots of opportunities for creative and interactive prayer, each week being slightly different. These are followed by a time of lively worship combined with object lessons to teach the children something about God. During this time you might see puppets, multi-media clips, pictures projected onto our screen, science experiments… perhaps even the odd ‘magic’ trick. There are opportunities for the children to contribute, and there is also lots of singing, dancing, actions and FUN!
After the worship time the children get together in their age-based groups for Bible-based activities.
In all the different groups, we have a dedicated team who teach and support the children on a rota basis, which allows for creative variety in our sessions. We all follow a curriculum which we have designed and put together ourselves. Each group learns at a level which is appropriate to them.
